Saints Row IV Collector’s Edition Survey: The March 2013 Report

Preservation edition: an attributed synopsis of Dustin Triplett’s March 19, 2013 Geekenstein report, recovered from an August 21, 2017 Common Crawl capture. The complete written report survives. Later announcement context and the collecting exercise below are separate editorial additions checked October 7, 2026.

What the March 2013 report established

Triplett reported that the Saints Row Facebook page had shared a survey listing nineteen items that might be included in a Saints Row IV collector’s edition if readers showed enough interest. His report emphasized the range: ordinary clothing and pins appeared alongside a Johnny Gat memorial statue and a remote-controlled aircraft. He invited readers to choose what they would like to see.

The report was about possible extras. It was neither an unboxing nor a confirmation that the complete list would be produced.

The proposed extras, grouped by their role

  • Clothing and accessories: a themed shirt, campaign pins and hats, car flags, a tie and tie bar, a money clip and a belt buckle.
  • Display and novelty objects: a character figurine, a Johnny Gat memorial statue, a voice-changing device, a briefcase with novelty handcuffs, a Dubstep Doomsday Button, a nonlethal weapon replica and an Eagle Jet remote-controlled aircraft.
  • Printed and packaged objects: a poster tube, concept-art book, Steelbook, cloth map and wooden cigar box.
  • Edition extras: a proposed download card, a presidential seal or coin, and a lit glass display case.

These groups summarize the survey’s named possibilities; they are not a contents checklist for a released product. The old survey is not presented as an active form.

A later, separately dated bundle announcement

A reproduction of Deep Silver’s June 4, 2013 press announcement identifies the North American Super Dangerous Wub Wub Edition. It describes a twelve-inch Dub Step gun replica, an eight-inch Johnny Gat statue and a pocket-size Dubstep Doomsday Button, plus Commander in Chief digital extras. This later source narrows the announced bundle; it does not turn every March suggestion into a shipped component.

Use the history to check an actual edition

Start with the title, edition, platform and region printed on the offered package. List the actual components separately, then mark each as shown, reported, absent or unknown. Keep visible condition, demonstrated operation and digital access as different fields. A survey idea is not evidence that a component belongs in every copy.
