The historical coverage
Triplett’s July 22, 2015 announcement introduced The Grand Tournament as a Hearthstone expansion. It belonged to the reveal stage, before the August release, rather than a post-release review of the resulting competitive environment.
The expansion introduced Inspire and Joust and added 132 cards. The later official release notice establishes August 24 as the release milestone. Keeping the reveal and release separate prevents the old announcement from being mistaken for a fresh availability notice.
This edition provides no current deck tier list, crafting recommendation or renewed pre-order offer. The companion retrospective explains the two mechanics as design ideas and places them beside the earlier launch-era preview. The old announcement remains attributed to Triplett rather than presented as new reporting.

Evaluate the turn sequence: can the minion survive long enough to create value, and does paying for the Hero Power delay a necessary play? A card that rewards repeated use may still be inefficient when the board demands an immediate response. This is a design question, not a current ranking of particular cards.
